As part of the junior theology course, students are prepared for receiving the sacrament of confirmation. At the end of sophomore year, information is distributed to the students from the parish.
Students who are parishioners of Saint Mary's do not need to attend religious education classes since the material is covered during the school day. There are several meetings and events throughout the year.
Students who are not parishioners of Saint Mary's are welcome to be confirmed here. Each student would need to obtain prior written permission from his or her pastor. If you plan to be confirmed at your own parish, they may or may not accept our theology class as confirmation preparation. Inquiry should be made to your pastor or Director of Religious Education as soon as possible.
Any student who was not baptized at Saint Mary's will need to submit a baptismal certificate before confirmation.
If you have any questions, you may contact Mr. Lepage who teaches junior theology. Or you may call Mrs. Joanne Bagge, the Director of Religious Education, at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 413-568-1127.
Confirmation for the 2016-17 school year will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 7.
